Letter Recognition Exercise for Preschooler and Kindergarten
Learning the alphabet at a young age can create foundation to enhance their verbal and written communication skills. It is also important because it allows beginners to understand how the printed text is related to the spoken language.
To help children learn more quickly, we look for strategies to teach them in a way they will appreciate learning the alphabet. And there are many ways to do that. The important thing is to do it simply. Focus on a couple of letters at a time and allow your child to see, hear and experience the letter in different ways.
In this activity, children will develop alphabet skills and and learn how to write, recognize and name upper and lowercase letters. They will also learn about the sounds associated with every letter. Mention the names of each object aloud to recognize the beginning sound. Because hearing the sounds of each object can make learning letter sounds easier for younger kids. Children can color and select the picture that corresponds to the letter indicated on each worksheet.
